I am a new student here at Ashworth, enrolled in late August. I've been reading through a lot of the community threads and am surprised at some of the comments.
Perhaps it is because I am what is known as an "adult learner", (i.e. left college in my Sophomore year 30 years ago LOL), or perhaps it is because I've been in the corporate world for 25 years and I know things don't happen instantly just because you ask for it. Sometimes you have to be patient, sometimes you are asking the wrong question, sometimes asking the wrong person. But I've contacted Ashworth several times now - through the community, via the support ticket feature in the Student Portal, and via email - and every time, I have received a response and a resolution within 24-48 hours. That's fantastic service, in any era.
For instance - wait 7-10 days for a paper to be graded? Mine was graded in 4. And when I was actually in college, it could take weeks to get a paper graded or have your scores posted in a hallway.
In this instant-gratification electronic society that we live in (and love, no question), I fear that people forget there are humans on the other side of the screen that actually have to "do" stuff.
Thank you Ashworth staff, for resolving my questions, responding to my comments, and for generally getting it right. I will forge onward to finish my degree, even if my credits don't transfer (as much as I would like them to since I went to college for almost 2 years previously). I'm doing this for *me*. Thanks for helping me do it!
