Really Frustrated Help Please :(

I was starting to read the first chapter of my book and I am severely struggling. I am having trouble to comprehend and understand this book. I also want to knowhow do I study if I don't understand how to?  I also requested one online by posting sadly no response. I am in the fashion retailing diploma program. I just paid for this program and started. I don't know what to do? I don't want the money to feel like it is down the drain and I am feeling stressed and dumb at this point
